Tesla, Cars Of the Future

I have chosen Tesla for this assignment.

I chose this company because Tesla seems like a forward-thinking company.

They are trying to be innovative in thinking about a more green future.

In looking at Tesla’s social media presence, people are asking Tesla is asking about when they plan to do business

in other countries such as Germany or India.

The value proposition that Tesla offers is that Tesla is an electric car company.

They are trying to shift people into electric cars from gas-powered cars.

Tesla recognizes that natural disasters are part of life for their customers.

If you own a Tesla they will help in a natural disaster situation in any way that they can.

In this case, they are offering free Supercharging for areas being affected by flooding.

Tesla offers many automated features to help their customers in their day-to-day life.

Sometimes, however, the automation does not work perfectly resulting in problematic situations.

Owners may sometimes forget that technology is not yet a replacement for common sense.

It is amazing that technology now allows a car to virtually drive itself.

Social media is trying to promote that Tesla is a leader in innovation and technology.

They offer a subscription service to people who no longer want to be responsible for driving themselves from place to place.

Instead, they can rely on a self-driving service to get them from place to place.

They are on the cutting edge for innovation because they have transformed the gas-powered engine to electric,

which is more sustainable.

Tesla is relying on to be cutting edge in all that they are doing.

They have come up with an engine that runs on electricity rather than gasoline,

they are trying to figure out how self-driving cars are and are immediately

trying to help those customers who have encountered a natural disaster.

Tesla’s Twitter doesn’t respond to any post usually (unless it's an influencer, or sometimes Elon musk responds to normal folk).  I wish it has a social media team that responds to posts by others, but if you think about it, Tesla doesn't need big social media to sell a great product.  Most people will know what Tesla is.  If I ask a random person on the street they will probably know that Tesla is a car company selling electric cars.  For the most part, not responding to social media posts is a cost-saving measure by the company.  They want to focus on making great products and not dealing with the gong show that is Twitter.

If I was the brand manager  I would only really respond to people that have an actual with a Tesla product or service.

I cannot waste time or energy on posts that are simply seeking attention through social media platforms.

I learned in this assignment that I don't want to be a brand manager and trying to navigate the minefield that is social media.
